  • Jeremy and Mitch will be running a workshop on Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement leading into the CrossFit Open 2015. It will be at CrossFit Roar on the 13th of Feb at 6.30pm and is free for all Roar members!

  • Staff Profile: Bess

    Bess graduated from the University of Queensland at the end of 2013 and is one of the new graduates to the practice. Throughout her degree, she has had hands on experience in different areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal, women’s health, cardiorespiratory and geriatrics, in both hospital and rural settings. Bess has been developing a Falls Prevention Program for Everton Park Physiotherapy, focused at the ageing population. The aim of the program is to improve balance and allow them to regain confidence in their mobility within the community through a detailed balance assessment and an independent exercise program. She has also completed courses that allow her to teach clinical Pilates exercises that focus on improving postural awareness, flexibility, strength and core support.

    One of the English World Cup team's physiotherapists has been carried off the field on a stretcher just minutes before half time after injuring himself celebrating.

  • Staff Profile: Jeremy

    Jeremy graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011, with First Class Honours. At University, he completed research on the biomechanics and muscle performance of the lower limb during walking and running, utilising 3-D motion analysis and Ultrasound imaging. Jeremy developed the Running Analysis program at Everton Park Physiotherapy and has attended specialty courses on Running analysis and technique. He has also completed specialty courses on Sports Injuries, Acute Knee examination and treatment, Dry Needling for sports injuries and chronic pain, as well as Ultrasound imaging of muscle tears and tendon injuries. His special interest is Sporting injuries, specifically Running, Crossfit and Gym related injuries and orthopaedic post-surgical rehabilitation. Jeremy works closely with Crossfit coaches and Personal trainers to enhance rehabilitation and performance of his patients.
